THE KINGDOM AND LITERATURE

It’s been over six years as a writer. I’ve read from the greatest writers of the past and present generation. I was a fan of William Shakespeare. And I still am…His style of writing indeed set him apart. His philosophy serve as one of the structures that has built me up as a writer, among many others . But that’s not the nitty gritty of this exposition. Let’s talk Kingdom.

Many will be wondering how the kingdom relates with literature . Well, it does… The epistles of Paul was a training manual for the early churches. Even when Paul was imprisoned, his impact was still felt across the churches. And even after His death ,his impact can’t be denied. Another writer that amazes me even till now was Solomon, how can a great and wise King like him, sit down to write what generations to come will feed from?… Because Books are like stores that preserve knowledge . I learnt some time ago that one of the ways to passing culture from generation to generation is through communication and One of the ways of communicating is writing . And Yes, the kingdom of God has a culture(we’ll look into some other day).

Moreover, One of the ways of transmitting knowledge from the realm of God to the terrain of a Man is through writings. The Holy scriptures attests to that. Many great preachers and fathers of faith who have transcended into glory have left impactful books which has served both as legacies and manuals of divine counsel. But here’s the catch: we’ve had books by many pastors, prophets and teachers but what about books written by “Kingdom writers”. What do I mean?…I mean books,be it poetry or prose, written by persons who are called , not to be G.Os or Apostles, but specifically into kngdom literature. These are persons designated to advance the purposes;the will of the King of Kings through their writings just like one who does same through singing.

The truth is ministry isn’t tied to pulpits or microphones. Ministry is not just church. Ministry is any medium through which the essence or dimensions of a spirit – either good or evil is trafficked into the earth realm. So, clapping can be ministry. Singing can be ministry. Dancing can be ministry. Dressing can be ministry . Even sweeping can be ministry . This has been misunderstood and opened the door to error, serious error .

And so, an usher is underrated since he isn’t seen on TV. You see, it’s not the fault of the members but those who communicated these truths, verbally and non verbally. The Great Apostle Joshua Selman will always say truth that isn’t well balanced can be a weapon of destruction. Hmm… So ministry to many is a means to exploit innocent people in the name of God.

Please note this : ministry is a medium not a means…it never was. This is what differentiates Ministry from Marketing. So if you had abandoned what you were called to do because it didn’t attract the applause of men, please go back and continue God’s business. God isn’t “…unjust to forget YOUR labour of love “.

Now let’s come back to Kingdom Literature . Since we’ve defined ministry,we can all agree that Literature can be seen as a ministry, with which God can communicate his intents to any and every. Literature can be used as a currency to win souls for Christ. Literature can be used as a key to activate revival and genuine hunger for God.

This is a message to someone… you have abandoned writing for God for other types of writings because it didn’t attract fame. I’m not saying your writings are bad but the question is: Is it bringing glory to the Lord of hosts?.

This is a call to those who have disposed the idea of winning souls for Jesus through writing. Go back!…to the place of relevance (relevance isn’t tied to popularity but stature) . And for others who aren’t sure of contributing to Kingdom advancement through literature, Go back to the secret place and find your place.

To others who are into kingdom literature,I say : “Stand tall. Give your all.” We must invade all the mountains of influence and give it to God. The kingdoms (mountains) of this world shall become the kingdoms (mountains) of our God .
